Known for their distinctive sound that blends southern rock, garage rock, and alternative rock, Kings of Leon has become one of the most influential bands of the 21st century but what are the best Kings of Leon songs?

In this article, we will take a look at some of the best Kings of Leon songs that have helped define the band’s sound and cement their place in the rock music canon. Let’s get started!

10 Best Kings of Leon Songs

10. Sex on Fire

“Sex on Fire” is one of Kings of Leon’s most popular and recognizable songs. Released in 2008, the track is a fast-paced, guitar-driven anthem that features Caleb Followill’s signature raspy vocals.

The song’s catchy chorus and driving rhythm have made it a staple at live shows, and it remains a fan favorite to this day.

While many will say that it doesn’t deserve its spot on this list, the sheer scale of its popularity means it’s impossible to leave out. It wouldn’t be in my own personal top 10, but we’re trying to be objective here!

9. Use Somebody

“Use Somebody” is another one of Kings of Leon’s most successful songs, both commercially and critically. Released in 2008, the song features soaring guitar riffs and a stadium-worthy chorus that showcases Caleb Followill’s powerful vocals.

The track won the band several awards, including a Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. It was another epic song from the hugely popular “Only By The Night.”

8. Molly’s Chambers

“Molly’s Chambers” was the lead single from Kings of Leon’s debut album, “Youth and Young Manhood,” released in 2003. The song’s frenetic energy and catchy riff helped establish the band’s signature sound, and it remains a fan favorite to this day.

For many people, this was their introduction to Kings of Leon and they were forever hooked. It’s also one of my favorite lyrical songs of theirs with many witty rhyming couplets.

7. Pyro

“Pyro” is a standout track from Kings of Leon’s fifth album, “Come Around Sundown.” The song’s haunting melody and powerful lyrics showcase the band’s more introspective side, while still maintaining their signature sound.

Whether it’s right or wrong, the 2010 album is the latest one in their discography to feature on this list, with neither of their last three albums making an appearance.

6. Fans

“Fans” is a fan favorite that has become a staple of Kings of Leon’s live shows. The song’s infectious chorus and upbeat melody make it a feel-good anthem that has helped the band connect with audiences around the world. It’s almost impossible not to try and copy Caleb’s voice when singing along!

5. Knocked Up

“Knocked Up” is a standout track from Kings of Leon’s third album, “Because of the Times.” The song’s intricate guitar work and Caleb Followill’s distinctive vocals make it a standout, and it helped the band further establish themselves as one of the most exciting acts in rock music.

This was the opening track from the album and you just knew instantly it was going to be an incredible record.

3. The Bucket

“The Bucket” is another standout track from Kings of Leon’s debut album. The song’s driving beat and catchy chorus make it a standout, and it helped the band establish themselves as one of the most exciting new acts in rock music.

There is something melancholically beautiful about the song. The lyrics speak of the struggles with fame and trying to help each other through the pain.

2. Taper Jean Girl

“Taper Jean Girl” is yet another brilliant track from their debut album. The song’s stripped-down instrumentation and Caleb Followill’s raw vocals make it a standout, and it helped establish the band’s reputation as one of the most exciting new acts in rock music. It’s an infectious song that even non-Kings of Leon fans can’t help but bop along to.

1. Revelry

“Revelry” is a just a breathtaking song. The song’s haunting melody and Caleb Followill’s powerful vocals make it a standout, and it helped establish the band as one of the most important acts in modern rock music.

Its release was perhaps overshadowed by “Sex On Fire,” with it being the third single released from the album but if there’s one song I go back to from “Only By The Night,” it’s this one. A truly brilliant song and for my money, their best.
